Andrea Fraser is a passionate researcher and public speaker with experience in public, private, and non-profit sectors at many degrees. Andrea trained as a civil, environmental and infrastructure engineer at George Mason University while transitioning into work at U.S. Geological Survey on projects relating microbiology, hydraulic fracturing, and public health. She has continued on to Johns Hopkins University to study Environmental Engineering and Public Health. Andrea is currently a PhD student in the Department of Geography of Environmental Engineering while also pursuing a certificate in Community Based Public Health from the Bloomberg School. Andrea is currently involved in research projects involving stormwater reuse and management, specifically understanding the role of microbial communities in engineered infiltration systems, a stormwater Best Management Practice. Her work has implications towards community development around green infrastructure and the health impacts of decisions around stormwater management. Andrea looks forward to outreach around the City of Baltimore and participating in a practicum with a local non-profit through the Bloomberg School of Public Health. Thanks for stopping by her page!
